Taking a unique initiative towards empowering women, the Ministry of Women and Child Development started the country's first girl panchayat in Kutch, Gujarat, while Haryana's daughter Abhilasha Barak has been chosen as the first woman combat aviator of the Indian Army. That is, Abhilasha will work as a fighter pilot in the army.
