A new Permanent Representative has been appointed from India's side in the United Nations. Ruchira Kamboj has been appointed to this post, who is currently the Ambassador of India to Bhutan. Ruchira Kamboj is the senior IFS officer who will soon replace TS Tirumurti, the current Permanent Representative of India to the UN. TS Tirumurti's tenure was extended.
