Wade.br According to the latest NPRPBS NewsHourMarist poll, br a majority also think the ruling was politically motivated br and has raised concerns for other rights being lost.br On June 24, the Supreme Court reversed 50 years br of precedent that access to an abortion br was a right in the United States.br The decision by the nation's highest court br places the right to regulate abortion br in the hands on individual states.br About half of the states have already br made moves to limit access to abortions br or ban the procedure completely.br According to NPR, a majority of Americans said that the issue is a personal one, with two-thirds of respondents saying they or someone they know has had an abortion.br At the same time, the NPR poll showed br that confidence in the Supreme Court br is also on the decline.br 58 of respondents said br that they have not much or br no confidence in the institution.br Only 39 of respondents said they feel br a great deal or a quite a lot of confidence br in the United States' highest court.
