This oath has created a new chapter in the politics of Maharashtra. Eknath Shinde has now become the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Devendra Fadnavis also took oath along with Shinde, taking oath as Deputy Chief Minister. There was constant doubt about Devendra Fadnavis, first there were reports that he would become CM, then suddenly he himself announced that he would not become CM, but Eknath Shinde would take oath as CM.
