Sri Jagannath Ashtakam consists of Eight Verses in praise of Lord Jagannath.br br Adi Shankaracharya composed Shri Jagannath Ashtakam when he visited Jagannath Temple in Puri. He dedicated these verses to the feet of Lord of the universe – Lord Jagannath. In these verses, he described Lord’s enchanting beauty, his pastimes, and virtues that he wants to hold in his eyes forever. He beautifully painted Rath Yatra’s description in the Ashktakam which mesmerizes whoever reads and listens to it.
