All government-linked companies (GLCs) and government-linked investment companies (GLICs) must appoint a Malaysian Trade Union Congress (MTUC) representative to their board of directors.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this was an effort to boost transparency and to ensure that the voices of the workers are represented in any decisions made by the board.
