A total of 51 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) urged the Chinese government to respect and protect the religious freedom of the Uyghur minority in Xinjiang.br br br br The group attempted to submit a memorandum of protest to the Chinese embassy in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, however a spokesperson said Chinese officials did not accept the memorandum.
