On January 11, 1922, Abigail Adams was born Margaret Thomas Adams. Harry Conover, a modeling agent, discovered her during her freshman year at the University of North Carolina. She dropped out of school and relocated to New York City to pursue a career as a model. In the 1942 comedy Moonlight Masquerade, Abigail makes her film debut.
