Facebook's parent company Meta ($META@US) is trading at its lowest point since March 2020, closing at $146.29 on Friday. Meta has lost 61 of its value over the past 12 months. Shares are almost at their lowest since January of 2019 when they fell below $146.01. In the aftermath of the Cambridge Analytica scandal that embroiled the company in congressional hearings, things did not get any smoother when it changed its name to Meta last October.
