Amidst the Merdeka celebrations, it’s also important to remember the 31st of August was also the day Sabah marked the end of colonial rule and was granted self-government in 1963. There are many who work tirelessly to advocate for Sabah, particularly its children -- working to improve their access to education and ensuring their welfare is not forgotten.
