Stunning Jupiter Image show something unusual going on there.br br br Data from NASA Juno spacecraft was used to create this computer animation of a flight over Jupiter’s clouds which appear like frosted cupcakes.br br Views of Jupiter are usually flat images, but scientists wanted to know what the planet’s famous raging storms look like with a sense of depth so created 3D renders based on red-filtered image data from JunoCam.br br The resulting video takes viewers on a virtual flight over clouds that really do look like swirling, frosted cupcakes with lots of pointed tips peeking through.
