Steven Earl "Steve" Gaines is an American musician, best known as the guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter of the rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd from May 11, 1976 until his death in a plane crash on October 20, 1977. The only solo record was recorded at Capricorn Studios in Macon, Georgia in 1975.
