ﮖﮗﮘﮙbr 1. رات کی قَسم جب وہ چھا جائے (اور ہر چیز کو اپنی تاریکی میں چھپا لے)obr 1. By the night when it covers up (and conceals everything in its darkness),br 2. اور دن کی قَسم جب وہ چمک اٹھےobr 2. And by the day when it brightens up,br 3. اور اس ذات کی (قَسم) جس نے (ہر چیز میں) نر اور مادہ کو پیدا فرمایاobr 3. And by that Being Who created male and female (in everything),br 4. بیشک تمہاری کوشش مختلف (اور جداگانہ) ہےobr 4. Indeed, your striving is different (and singular).br 5. پس جس نے (اپنا مال اللہ کی راہ میں) دیا اور پرہیزگاری اختیار کیobr 5. So he who gives away (his wealth in the way of Allah) and commits himself to piousness,br 6. اور اس نے (اِنفاق و تقوٰی کے ذریعے) اچھائی (یعنی دینِ حق اور آخرت) کی تصدیق کیobr 6. And affirms the good (the Din [Religion] of truth and life after death through charity and Godwariness),br 7. تو ہم عنقریب اسے آسانی (یعنی رضائے الٰہی) کے لئے سہولت فراہم کر دیں گےobr 7. Soon We shall facilitate him in seeking (Allah’s pleasure) with ease.br 8. اور جس نے بخل کیا اور (راہِ حق میں مال خرچ کرنے سے) بے پروا رہاobr 8. But he who is miser and disregards (spending in the cause of Allah),br 9. اور اس نے (یوں) اچھائی (یعنی دینِ حق اور آخرت) کو جھٹلایاobr 9. And (in this way) denies the good (the Din [Religion] of truth and afterlife),br 10. تو ہم عنقریب اسے سختی (یعنی عذاب کی طرف بڑھنے) کے لئے سہولت فراہم کر دیں گے (تاکہ وہ تیزی سے مستحقِ عذاب ٹھہرے)obr 10. Soon shall We facilitate his landing into hardship (advancing towards torment, so that punishment becomes his rightful due).br 11. اور اس کا مال اس کے کسی کام نہیں آئے گا جب وہ ہلاکت (کے گڑھے) میں گرے گاobr 11. And his wealth will not help him any way when he falls into (the pit of) destruction.br 12. بیشک راہِ (حق) دکھانا ہمارے ذمہ ہےobr 12. Indeed, it is binding on Us to show you the path (of truth).br 13. اور بیشک ہم ہی آخرت اور دنیا کے مالک ہیںobr 13. And indeed, We are the Master of the Hereafter and the world.br 14. سو میں نے تمہیں (دوزخ کی) آگ سے ڈرا دیا ہے جو بھڑک رہی ہےobr 14. So I have warned you of the raging Fire (of Hell).br 15. جس میں انتہائی بدبخت کے سوا کوئی داخل نہیں ہوگاobr 15. No one shall enter it but the most wretched,br 16. جس نے (دینِ حق کو) جھٹلایا اور (رسول کی اطاعت سے) منہ پھیر لیاobr 16. He who gives lie to (the Din [Religion] of truth) and turns away (from obedience to the Messenger [blessings and peace be upon him]).br 17. اور اس (آگ) سے اس بڑے پرہیزگار شخص کو بچا لیا جائے گاobr 17. But the most pious one shall be saved from this (Fire),br 18. جو اپنا مال (اللہ کی راہ میں) دیتا ہے کہ (اپنے جان و مال کی) پاکیزگی حاصل کرےobr 18. Who gives his wealth away (in the cause of Allah) to attain to purity (of his soul and assets),br 19. اور کسی کا اس پر کوئی احسان نہیں کہ جس کا بدلہ دیا جا رہا ہوobr 19. And who owes no favour to anyone that he is seeking to pay back.br 20. مگر (وہ) صرف اپنے ربِ عظیم کی رضا جوئی کے لئے (مال خرچ کر رہا ہے)obr 20. Rather (he spends) seeking the pleasure of his Lord, Most High.br 21. اور عنقریب وہ (اللہ کی عطا سے اور اللہ اس کی وفا سے) راضی ہو جائے گاobr 21.
