Pre-2000 everybody knew that and so nobody was surprised when young adults were shown on TV doing normal things like thinking and talking about sex. Post-2000 everybody desperately wants to pretend that teenagers are small children and have no sexuality at all. So podcasters watching a TV show from 1991 are dumbfounded.
