Since the TV show "Meerkat Manor" aired, a lot of people have been fascinated with these communal little critters. They're not uncommon in Africa but they're usually pretty skittish. We had the opportunity to view them in the Tswalu Kalahari Reserve, and it was a totally wild experience, particularly since this group had four pups.
