A pair of moped phone thieves who snatched 72 handsets in just six weeks have been jailed.Randy Kavungu, 21and Darius James, 22 singled out rush hour commuters between 7am and 9am in May and June 2021.One victim had coffee thrown in their face, another suffered a broken finger and a witness was threatened with a hammer.The duo, both on the same moped, would select a victim on their own in an open space or standing on the pavement before riding at them at speed from behind whilst the pillion passenger grabbed their phone.Metropolitan Police
