Buster Bash has taken out the re-running of the Perth Cup, less than a fortnight after WA's highest-profile race was abandoned following an on-track death of a horse. Protestors lined the entrance to Ascot, demanding change, while crowd numbers were significantly down on typical Perth Cup attendances.
