The Indian and French navies held the 21st edition of the bilateral naval exercise 'Varuna' in January 2023. The joint exercise was conducted from Jan 16-20 on the Western seaboard. The exercise witnessed advanced tactical manoeuvres, surface firings, and other maritime operations.
