The U.S. Food and Drug Administration wants to simplify the covid-19 vaccine process to mirror that of the flu vaccine. The FDA says it expects to assess circulating strains of the virus that causes covid-19 at least once a year, and decide every June which strains to select for a seasonal covid vaccine every fall, much like they do with the flu.
