Maryland broke its longfin tuna record this past fall. Thomas “Tad” Bodmer caught a 77-pound albacore while fishing from the charter Top Dog in September, breaking the record set back in 2004 by Victor Gardner. Bodmer landed his fish as part of a triple hookup of tuna on the boat. It was a chaotic scene, but all three fish were landed.
