CEO & Creative Director of ADEAM, Hanako Maeda, channeled teenage angst for her grungy, rocker vibes FallWinter 2023 showing. Taking inspiration from music she listened to in the early 2000s from bands like Green Day and Blink-182, she created a collection filled with textures and patterns: faux leather, plaid, gothic lace, tulle, and velvet. The runway show switched after a power guitar solo from Japanese artist Miyavi Ishihara into a whole new collection from Maeda's gender-neutral line, ADEAM ICHI, which featured a similar motif in more androgynous styles.
