Fahmi: Govt looking at PDPA amendments to curb data breaches, beef up security

The Communications and Digital Ministry is currently looking at several improvements to the amendments of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) to enhance cybersecurity and prevent personal data leakage.
Minister Fahmi Fadzil told reporters on Saturday (Feb 18) that the amendments will also ensure organisations that handle data are responsible for the security of user data.
