Program expands ACT pharmacist’s role to ease GP pressure

Pharmacists in the ACT and New South Wales will soon be able to treat patients for urinary tract infections, as part of a new trial. The medical association has criticised the move following a similar trial in Queensland, arguing pharmacists don't have the training to properly treat the infections.
