Bhoj is an integral part of death rituals in rural India. Thousands of people are sitting on the ground and eating together. They eat on plates made up of either banana leaves or leaves of some other plants. More than 100 people are serving them to make the process smooth and hassle-free. If someone dies in a village then the family members have to arrange a Bhoj for villagers of their own choice based on caste and relations with them. Sometimes numbers are in the hundreds and sometimes more than thousands. They have to feed them for 3 days along with performing the other death rituals which last for 13 days.
