Just Films & That is a podcast that celebrates underrated and underseen films. But we also make some allowances for films that we are just desperate to talk about. In this episode, Josh chose True Lies for that very reason. Now, with a 7.3 on IMDB, 70% from the critics on Rotten Tomatoes and 76% from the audience, it probably isn’t underrated or underseen, right? Well, we’re not so sure. When we searched for the film to watch for this episode, we couldn’t find it anywhere, and unfortunately had to resort to desperate measures to be able to watch it. So it could be said that this Arnie classic is underseen with modern audiences, because unless your dad is going to sit you down in front of the telly with his battered old DVD that you’ve been using as a coaster for the past 12 years, it’s very unlikely you’ll get the opportunity to see it.
