Staking his claim on the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and its clock symbol, Ajit Pawar approached the Election Commission on July 5. The Sharad Pawar-led NCP faction also reached out to the EC and said that a disqualification request has been initiated against nine rebel legislators.
