They came silently out of the dark from the sky in search of human flesh. Parasites - creatures that take over a human host to survive - have arrived on Earth. No one knows this except Shinichi Izumi, a high school student whose right hand has become infected with a parasite. Shinichi, against his will, befriends Migi, the parasite. Both now find themselves in the middle of a war between species.
