The best restaurant in Manchester has been crowned at the British Restaurant Awards 2023.

The country's culinary elite came together to celebrate the best restaurants and chefs in the country at this year's British restaurant Awards on September 5, and one Manchester favourite was recognised.

20 stories in Spinningfields - known for its skyline views of the city-region - won the regional prize for the Best Restaurant in Manchester in 2023.

This was the fifth edition of the prestigious annual awards, which give out regional awards, awards for luxury restaurant of the year, best chef, best hospitality team and other categories.

The event was hosted by TV presenter Cait King, with celebrity guest hosts including Paris Smith from Made in Chelsea and Olympic Champion Dwain Chambers.

Despite the fact several Manchester restaurants had been nominated for a variety of categories this year, only one went home with an award.
