By the time we arrived in Cape Coast, we've visited the majority of slave trade castles along the coast of Ghana (Osu, Axim, Elmina) and decided to skip the Cape Coast castle. The castle in Cape Coast is on the path of day trip tours from Accra, it's overrun with people and people outside of the castle waiting for tourists are extremely pushy! SKIP!br br But we can really recommend you to visit the Fort William Lighthouse, especially right before sunset. It's a little fort with a lighthouse on top where this guy lives, letting visitors in for a little tour. The views from up there are just breathtaking and gives you a great sense of Cape Coast.
