As the Government prepares to pump more money into the Police Service in order to boost manpower and acquire more guns, vehicles and other resources for officers, the President of the Scrap Iron Dealers Association is advising the authorities that that approach is not the answer.br br br At the Association's Crime Talks in Chaguanas on Wednesday evening, Allan Ferguson urged the government to come out and meet the people on their level, and start addressing the real contributors to crime.
