Gene Rodemich Orchestra plays "Doin' The New Lowdown" in the Tom and Jerry cartoon "Piano Tooners". I believe this old Tom and Jerry cartoon made by the Van Beuren Corporation to have music on the soundtrack by Gene Rodemich Orchestra because in the opening credits it mentions "synchronization by Gene Rodemich". The band plays a fantastic hot version of "Doin' The New Lowdown" in the cartoon. This band made a lot of recordings for Brunswick in the 1920's and it is nice to hear the band on this cartoon soundtrack.
