Donald Trump Is Fined $10,000 , for Violating Gag Order.br On Oct. 25, Judge Arthur Engoron issued Trump a fine for reportedly breaking a gag order for the second time, according to 'The Washington Post.'.br Trump was previously barred from publicly speaking about any court personnel.br But outside of court, Trump said that Engoron is "a very partisan judge, with a person who’s very partisan sitting along side of him, perhaps even much more partisan than he is.".br Engoron gathered that Trump was referring to the judge's law clerk, which the former president denied.br Instead, Trump said he was talking about br his former lawyer, Michael Cohen.br As the trier of fact I find that br the witness is not credible... br [Donald Trump was] referring br to my... principal law clerk, who br is sitting much closer to me. , Judge Arthur Engoron, via 'The Washington Post'.br Last week, Trump was fined $5,000 br for violating the gag order.br The judge warned him that the fines will keep increasing if he doesn't comply with the gag order.br Trump's attorneys requested that Engoron reconsider the second fine, which he denied.br His lawyers proceeded to ask the judge to br end the trial and make a directed verdict, which Engoron also rejected.
