The Protected Areas and Protected Places Act 1959, known as Act 298, is being reviewed, and the government is deciding whether or not to make amendments, says the Home Minister.br br Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said Act 298 had not been reviewed since 1959, and the study was to determine the necessary improvements on several elements, such as strengthening existing punishment.
