She lays eggs into the water column, and then, males spew throughout the water column, fertilizing the eel eggs. A single female can lay between two and ten million eggs! The scientific name of the species is Harlequin Snake Eel - Myrichthys colubrinus. The video was taken during a night dive at a depth of 5m.
