Gaseous water has been detected in the planet-forming disk surrounding the star V883 Orionis (ALMA) using the Atacama Large Millimetersubmillimeter Array. The discovery "supports the idea that water on Earth is even older than our Sun," accoring to the European Southern Observatory (ESO).
