HYPER ‘Hippie’, Ashlan, 20, grew up hunting in the woods and watching Harry Potter, which has inspired her bohemian, “forest fairy” aesthetic. Though she has explored various subcultures when it comes to her style, Ashlan states that she has always struggled to feel “feminine” and has often been called “homeless” due to her baggy and patchwork clothes. But, at the same time, she grew up watching shows like “America’s Next Top Model” and “Mean Girls”, causing her to feel “self conscious and not girly enough” to pull off a catwalk look.
