There has been an increase in the number of people being killed or seriously injured on our roads here in Merseyside. Data from a Freedom of Information request has shown that in 2023 there were 550 cases, 91 more than the previous year. That's an increase in almost 20. The levels of deaths and serious injuries are also the highest in five years.
