BNM: Global and domestic factors expected to support gradual recovery of ringgit in 2024

Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) Governor Datuk Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour on Wednesday (March 20) said the decline in the value of the ringgit is temporary and due to external factors.
Nonetheless, he said BNM has and will continue to take concerted measures to manage short-term pressure on the ringgit which includes intensified efforts to encourage repatriation and conversion of foreign investment income by GLCs and GLICs.
