The ‘new’ state pension will rise by 8.5 in April from £203.85 per week to £221.20 weekly (£11,502.40 per year).The ‘old’ state pension (paid to those who reached state pension age before April 6, 2016) will increase from £156.20 per week to £169.50 per week (£8,814 per year).
