AMNA and Noelle aka Am and Noey are sisters. Not a couple, not twins, not brothers; but sisters. Noey - who is one year younger than Am - told truly: “How I would describe our relationship as sisters now, is first and foremost best friends.” The pair dressed as they pleased until high school when they said they felt more societal pressure to be feminine presenting. But after coming out to one another when they were at university and getting their hair cut short at the same time; their style started evolving. Noey said: “Now that we are expressing ourselves more masculine, one thing that we've started to realise in our personal opinion, is masculinity and femininity - it's just an energy or an essence. It doesn't mean that boys have to be masculine and girls have to be feminine.” The sisters have a big presence on TikTok and have received judgement on their pages regarding their sexuality and their style. Am explained: “One of the biggest common misconceptions about the way that we look is that people assume we are trying to look like men. We are wearing clothing that makes us feel good and it's as simple as that.” However, Am and Noey try to respond to hate with love and have recently launched a podcast called Metamorphosis (emphasis on the sis). They are going to a suit shop to try on their first ever custom-designed suits and will be revealing the look to their mom, Genevieve. Of their style she said: “What I love the most about it is the number of people that I see trying to mimic that style… Including me!”
