Dubai police rescued a cat from floodwaters on Wednesday (April 17) as the country was hit by a rare torrential storm.
Authorities and communities across the United Arab Emirates started clearing debris on Wednesday after heavy rain subsided late on Tuesday (April 16), damaging homes and businesses and killing at least one person.
