Donald Trump’s hush money continued Tuesday with Judge Juan Merchan ruling that he found the former president in contempt of court for violating the gag order. Trump was fined $9,000 total and threatened with jail if he violated the gag order again during the trial. Keith Davidson, the former lawyer for Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal, testified about negotiating deals to keep their stories of alleged affairs with Trump quiet. Interest in Stormy Daniels' story increased after the 2005 "Access Hollywood" tape of Trump making lewd comments was leaked in October 2016. Text messages were shown in court negotiating a deal for a "blockbuster Trump story" about Karen McDougal.
