The Israeli army has taken control of the Rafah border crossing which connects Gaza with Egypt. It is also home to over a million displaced Gazans and an essential supply route for aid into Gaza. Meanwhile Gazans celebrated news that Hamas had accepted a possible ceasefire, but Israel said that attacks would continue.
