Phivolcs records Kanlaon Volcano’s 3rd highest sulfur dioxide emissions of the year

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) warned of elevated volcanic sulfur dioxide (SO₂) gas flux at Kanlaon Volcano on Saturday, Aug. 24.br br In an advisory, Phivolcs reported that SO₂ gas emission from the summit crater of Kanlaon has reached 6,367 tons per day.
