Tairyō utaikomi - Doyabushi [Min'yō (traditional Japanese folk songs)] 大漁唄い込み-どや節 (日本民謡)

A performance of the "Doyabushi" from the suite "Tairyō utaikomi", an Miyagi min'yō, with lyrics. 宮城県民謡の「大漁唄い込み」の中の「どや節」の演奏と歌詞、簡単な説明です。 br -- br Meaning of the lyrics: br Calm this morning br Off the coast of Hashima br Large bonito and small bonito br Loaded with many bamboo baskets br At the harbor of Shiogama br Boats arriving one after another br Sailing with both maho [tailwind sail setting] and kataho [crosswind sail setting] br Countless boats br br -- br Description: br Tairyō utaikomi is a suite of songs that were originally different min’yō, but there was another song with the same name prior to this suite. Currently, it is performed in the order of Saitarabushi followed by Toshima jinku or alternatively, Doyabushi followed by Toshima jinku. The term Doyabushi was commonly used to refer to the entire sequence including Toshima jinku (for convenience here I will refer to the first song in this recording as Doyabushi), and performances without Toshima jinku are not found, however, this recording is split into two videos.
