Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar criticised TV channels for showing "early trends" immediately after 8 AM, adding the counting actually starts from 8:30 AM. Kumar was addressing a press conference where schedule for the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand was announced. In response to a question about the accuracy of exit polls, Kumar called for introspection by those conducting exit polls.
