De Los Santos Medical Center: A legacy of quality health care in Quezon Citybr br De Los Santos Medical Center (DLSMC) proudly serves the health care needs of Quezon City since its founding on Sept. 17, 1949, by the renowned Dr. Jose V. de los Santos Sr., known as the Father of Philippine Orthopedics. Initially established as a 30-bed clinic specializing in treating bone abnormalities, DLSMC evolved into a 150-bed, Level 3 private tertiary hospital with over 779 active and visiting multi-specialist physicians. In 1973, the institution transitioned into De Los Santos General Hospital, broadening its scope to include internal medicine, obstetrics gynecology, pediatrics, and surgery. The hospital's journey took a significant turn in June 2013 when it joined the Metro Pacific Health (MPH) group, marking a new chapter in its commitment to delivering quality healthcare.
