India evacuated 75 nationals from Syria after rebels captured Damascus and ousted Bashar al-Assad. The evacuees, including 44 pilgrims from Jammu & Kashmir, were safely moved to Lebanon. This action was coordinated by the Indian embassies in Damascus and Beirut following a security assessment. Indian nationals in Syria are advised to remain in contact with the embassy for updates.
