In this Vid you can see how one can play br INDO-FLAMENCO-GUITAR-PERCUSSION, br a Style of Guitar-Playing that I have created based on br the essence of Flamenco and Raaga. br A truely innovative Fusion of two worlds. br br The style is a combination of Guitar, br Tabla and Congas all played on one acoustic guitar br br A JOURNEY ON THE ROUTES TO THE ROOTS : br Part of the Flamenco roots can be traced to India. br I was fortunate to learn about the depth of influence of br Indian music on Flamenco in a Seminar on Flamenco br at the SINTI & ROMA CENTER in HEIDELBERG br a few years back. br br As I was always playing the guitar with percussion br ( played simultaneously on the same guitar in one go ), br I could further develop my style of playing the guitar. br br My style of playing is inspired by Flamenco, br Indian Raaga Indian Folk Music. br For me, it has been and is always be like a JOURNEY on the br MUSICAL-ROUTES to the MUSICAL-ROOTS. br br In this, Vid, I have played my own music JOURNEY ONE br ( composed specially for this style of playing ). br br I have played on OVATION CELEBRITY Acoustic Guitar br which is about 20 years old ! My guitar has taken, so to say, br a lot of beatings as I play the strings and percussion simultaneously br on this OVATION most of the times ! Inspite of this, br The OVATION is still in perfect shape ! br br For making this HOW-TO-PLAY-VID, the guitar playing br ( with percussion ) on OVATION has been FILMED separately and br over-imposed on the AUDIO-TRACK.
