For Rakun it's not just a look, "it's a mindset" - and she has been dressing alternatively from the moment she "stole" her mom's makeup as a young teen and "blacking" her eyes. When she discovered punk music, Rakun had found her community as well as her style - but she had "a lot of battles" with her mom Lhea growing up, who tried to "sway her a bit into not being too different" for fear of what others would think and how it might affect her daughter's life.
